About
The All Roads Transportation Safety Program (ARTS) identifies intersections where a high concentration of crashes occur and then implements safety improvements to help reduce crashes at these locations.
Safety improvements along OR 99W from Ross Island Bridge to SW Wills Lane and along U.S. 30 Bypass from North Kerby Avenue to Northeast 165th Avenue include:

Adding or upgrading “Stop” signs and street name signs on intersection side streets.

Adding stop bar pavement markings on intersection side streets.

Adding bicycle lane markings on the road for better visibility at areas where bicycles and vehicles share the road.

Upgrading existing traffic signal heads to make them larger and more reflective to increase visibility.
Other improvements may include signage, enhanced pavement markings and traffic signal improvements.
