About

​​The U.S. 197: Maupin to BLM Access Improvements Project will improve access to Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and city of Maupin recreation areas along the Lower Deschutes River.
 
​These improvements include:
  • Installing and improving ADA curb ramps on U.S. 197 and Bakeoven Road.
  • Building a sidewalk on the south side of U.S. 197 in front local businesses.
  • Signage improvements for BLM’s Backcountry Byway
