About

view the enlarged project mapFor this project, we're planning to:

  • Install improved overhead guide signs for Marion Street Bridge.
  • Install overhead lane use signs where appropriate in the project area.
  • Upgrade curb ramps to meet current ADA standards in the project area.
  • Add traffic separators between Division Street NE and Union Street NE.
  • Add bike lane striping on Commercial Street from D Street to Union Street.
  • Upgrade striping and road markings as needed.

New striping, road markings, overhead lane use and guide signs will help make it easier for drivers to be in the correct lane to get to where they need to go. Dedicated bicycle lanes give both cars and bikes their own defined space to move safely through the area. ADA curb ramps make it easier to move between the sidewalk and road – benefiting all users, whether you have a disability or not.

Check out this graphic to see some of the planned improvements on Commercial Street NE between Division Street NE and Union Street NE.
