Details

About

The intersection of OR 99 at Theona Drive has seen higher than normal crashes primarily caused by left turns. Cars using the existing turn lane to exit OR 99 onto Theona Drive are making it hard for cars attempting to turn left onto OR 99 to see oncoming traffic.

We are widening the road approaching the Theona Drive intersection to create additional buffer space. This will put more space between the cars turning and the cars continuing in the travel lane. The space between will improve sight distance for cars turning left by making it easier to see oncoming traffic.

There should be minimal impacts during construction, most of the work will be done off the road.
