OR 126: Linn County Line to Old McKenzie Highway Paving

Construction Phase

Region 2: Willamette Valley and Northwest Oregon (Lane)

​​​​​​​​​​​We're repaving a section of OR 126 that is in poor condition to give you a smoother ride.

Construction Impacts

​None at t​his time. We plan to start construction soon.
When work starts you can expect construction noise and delays.

​project alerts icon​Plan ahead – we will have a 48-hour road closure and six 12-hour nighttime road closures. 

The dates are subject to change, but we are planning the closures for:

August 1 – 8  6 half day closures 
Sunday - Thursday nights 8 PM - 6 AM 

August 20 – 22  48-hour full road closure

Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers. 

Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.

About

​enlarged project map iconThis section of OR 126 is a snow zone and the current pavement is cracking and needs to be replaced. The pavement is in poor condition and has required our maintenance crew to apply patches more frequently to hold this section together. There are three bridges in this section that also need to be resurfaced. 

We will: 

  • Remove the existing pavement. 

  • Repave.

  • Apply permanent striping. 

  • Adjust or replace guardrail.

  • Resurface the bridges.

​By repaving, we're creating a smoother ride and preserving the road and bridges so more costly repairs are not needed in the future.

  • View the archived online open house that was open from Jul. 12 - 31, 2023.

  • We held an in-person open house on Thursday, Jul. 13, 2023 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the McKenzie Fire & Rescue Station.​
