About

Enlarged project mapThe driving surface in this area of OR 22 was deteriorating. Our maintenance crews were having to do more frequent repairs and patching to keep the road usable. This created a bumpy and sometimes uncomfortable ride and increased the cost of maintenance.

To create a smoother ride, we:

  • Repaired the driving surface and applied new pavement.
  • Painted new striping.
  • Installed new guardrail.
  • Installed rumble strips in the center of the road. This creates sound and vibration, alerting drivers they're crossing into oncoming traffic.
