Construction Impacts

I-5 Construction LogoYou can expect:

  • Lane and ramp closures allowed Sunday night through Thursday morning, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Signed detours while ramps are closed.
  • Delays and construction noise.
When ramp work is happening, we plan to only close each ramp for one night. This work is weather dependent so our schedule may change. Visit TripCheck.com for the most up to date information.

Construction Activities

We're making concrete repairs on southbound I-5. We're also applying permanent striping in the project area.

About

We are making repairs to the road to extend the life of the pavement and make it safer for drivers.

This section of roadway shows signs of wear, cracking and potholes. Worn roads are less safe for drivers and leads to increased gas and maintenance cost for drivers.

With this project, we will do maintenance repairs before extensive work is required.  We will:

  • Patch failures in the existing concrete pavement.

  • Resurface asphalt to repair cracking, rutting, and wear.

  • Repair northbound and southbound lanes.

  • Many ramps in the area will be repaved.

  • Joint work on bridges and bridge deck membrane.
