The pavement in the project area was in poor condition and rutting caused by the wear from vehicle wheel paths made it vulnerable to winter weather. Patching the road would have been a burden on maintenance until fixed.
For this project, we:
Removed and installed new pavement from milepost 253.7 to milepost 251.1 on the northbound lanes and from milepost 253.7 to milepost 250.1 on the southbound lanes.
Repaved portions of the Kuebler Boulevard ramps.
Installed permanent striping and rumble strips.
Repaired the rough road approaching the Turner Road and railroad overpasses on I-5.
Made some ADA improvements at the northbound I-5 on and off ramps on Kuebler Boulevard.
