About
The project will provide several features along U.S. 101 between downtown Brookings and Harris Beach State Park that will benefit bicyclists and pedestrians:
- Add a bike lane and a sidewalk along the east side of U.S. 101 from Easy Street to the Ransom Creek area.
- Replace substandard sidewalk and install ADA curb ramps at several locations between Easy Street and Lucky Lane.
- Add a pedestrian crossing with flashing pedestrian beacon on U.S. 101 near Ransom Ave.
- Convert a 4-lane section to 3-lane from Heather Lane to Arnold Lane to improve pedestrian safety.

ODOT is responsible for the contract and delivery of this project. We have worked in partnership with the City of Brookings during the project’s planning and design phases and will continue to coordinate with the City during construction.
