About

Enlarged project mapThis project will upgrade curve warning signs to meet national standards and install new curve warnings at the curves that meet a specific crash threshold.

Installing signs will help reduce fatal and serious roadway departure crashes at horizontal curves. Curve warning signage has been shown to aid in  driver's awareness in the changes to the direction of the road and to decreases roadway departure crashes. Roadway departure fatalities account for about two thirds of Oregon fatalities.

The following corridors are included in the project:

  • OR 18 from milepost 1 to 17.

  • OR 219 from milepost 10 to 36.

  • OR 99W from milepost 34 to 104.
