About

The OR 58 corridor is a lifeline route between the southern Willamette Valley (I-5) and Central Oregon (U.S. 97). There have been several projects to explore how to help keep critical services accessible.

This project identified 54 culverts needing repair or replacement because they were in poor or critical condition. The culverts were reviewed to see if sizes needed to be increased to address water flow or fish passage.

The shallow culverts required digging trenches through the road and the deeper culverts were replaced by drilling under the road.

This project was developed by Western Federal Lands, a division of the Federal Highway Administration.
