About
The South Yamhill River Bridge was built in 1951 and had approached the end of its functional lifespan.
This project replaced the South Yamhill River Bridge on a busy route into and out of McMinnville with a daily average daily traffic volume of 16,000 vehicles. The previous bridge was 35 foot wide and has been replaced with a wider 48 foot wide bridge to better accommodate large trucks, bicycles and pedestrians.
Schedule
Design through 2021.
Construction began in 2021 and is estimated to finish in 2024.
2023 - 2024
- We've completed construction of the new bridge and rebuilt connections to the roadway.
- We're removing the temporary bridge structure.
- We're constructing a sanitary sewer line along Three Mile Lane.
- During this time expect delays and road closures to a single lane of traffic controlled by flaggers.
