How much does it cost to renew my vehicle registration?
In addition to the renewal fee, a vendor transaction fee of $4.95 is charged for each transaction. Oregon DMV does not collect or benefit from the transaction fee.
Can I use the kiosk to complete my vehicle registration renewal if I am required to have a DEQ certification?
Yes, you can use the kiosk for DMV transactions after passing the DEQ (Department of Environmental Quality) certification process. Once you have your certification, the kiosk will allow you to complete your transaction.
What if I don’t have a debit or credit card and the kiosk near me does not accept cash?
You can purchase and load the amount for your transaction (plus fee) on a prepaid Visa, Discover, Mastercard or American Express card.
Are the stickers the same as I get by mail or at a DMV office?
Actually, they’re not! Stickers printed from a kiosk will include your license plate configuration. This option is only available at a kiosk. The stickers you receive when renewing by mail or at a DMV office will have an inventory number instead.
When will there be more kiosks available?
We plan to introduce additional kiosks in early 2025. Check back for further details!
