ODOT wants to see more photos of our ADA projects across the state.
We are always in need of good photos that showcase things like:
- New compliant curb ramps.
- Temporary pedestrian access routes.
- New push button crossing signals.
- Closed crossings.
- Before, after, and during construction.
If you live in a city where an ADA project is scheduled, don’t forget to take a few snaps before construction starts, during, and after construction is complete.
Use the form below to submit your photos! Each month a winner will be chosen and featured in our Inside ODOT newletter!
In January of 2025 we will choose a photo from previous winners to include on the cover of the annual Settlement Agreement Report, released at the end of March. Photos that are runners up and other great photos will be added to ODOT’s Flickr account for widespread use.
Photo Tips:
- Send before and after photos of the same location together on your submission. (Up to 3 files allowed per submission)
- Photos can include surrounding features, but it should be clear what the photo is featuring.
- Sometimes we can see that there’s a kernel of a great photo, but the image is blurry. If it’s out of focus, we won’t be able to use it. Take the time to grab a sharp image.
- Make your composition interesting! Don’t always place your focal point in the center. There are countless ways to make your photos stand out by using a different point of view — experiment and try something new!
Technical Considerations:
- Make sure the photo you submit is high-resolution. We want something that is 300 pixels per inch in a large format (at least a 4-inch by 5-inch size) — something that looks good on a large monitor as well as on your phone.
- Avoid advertising signs, political/election signs, construction advertisements on equipment, etc.
- Photos that depict non-compliant ADA features will be disqualified and will not be featured on the Flickr page.
