Adoption advocates win national award
Resource and adoptive parents Brian and Josie Parker were recently acknowledged in Washington, D.C. with an Administration for Children and Families award in the family contribution category. Awards are presented each year as part of National Adoption Month. The Parkers were acknowledged for their work helping children and families by writing, illustrating and publishing children’s books highlighting the experiences of kids of color experiencing foster care and adoption.
