The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) insect collection
houses an insect and arthropod collection with:
- More than 100,000 pinned specimens
- Approximately 6,000 species represented
- Emphasis on species known or suspected to have agricultural
significance, including newly detected exotic species
- Strong representations of wood-associated insects
- A voucher depository for insect biocontrol agents
- Large image collection for identification purposes
Tours of the insect collection and lab
The insect collection and lab are available for tours by
schools and other groups. Please contact us at least two weeks prior to your
visit to schedule as space is limited.
