The Oregon Ocean Science Trust is an independent nonprofit dedicated to increasing knowledge and understanding of Oregon's ocean and coastal resources in collaboration with scientists and policymakers. Established by the Oregon state legislature in 2013, the Trust provides a link between the State and ocean research and monitoring. The Trust has five voting members appointed by the State Land Board, and two nonvoting members from the legislature (one Senator and one Representative).

The Department of State Lands provides facility and administrative support for Trust meetings. The Trust receives funds through the Oregon Ocean Science Fund, which is established in the Oregon State Treasury and is separate and distinct from the General Fund and the Common School Fund.
