Oregon Housing Needs Analysis Methodology

Oregon Revised Statute 184.451 directs the Department of Administrative Services and the Office of Economic Analysis to produce the Oregon Housing Needs Analysis (OHNA). The OHNA is a new component to Oregon’s statewide land use planning system intended to facilitate housing production, affordability and choice to meet housing needs for Oregonians statewide.

The report presents both the final methodology, and the initial statewide and regional results. The OHNA will be updated and released by Dec. 31 each year. Future reports will update the analysis based on newly available data. DAS plans to update the methodology at least once every five years. For more information about the OHNA, please contact Carl Riccadonna at 971-446-1364 or carl.riccadonna@das.oregon.gov, or Mitchell D'Sa at 971-718-2516 or mitchell.dsa@das.oregon.gov.
