Training/Orientation
– Providing a Clear Understanding of the Mentoring Program.
- As a mentor, you are serving as a role-model to someone asking for your
guidance. We’ll identify the mentor’s roles and responsibilities, as well as
best practices of mentoring.
- As a mentee, you are asking someone to offer his or her time to help further
your career. We’ll help prepare you for your first meeting and how to make the
most of both of your time.
Introductions
– Starting the Relationship
Meet
your mentor/mentee! Using applications, we will match those with similar
experience and expected outcomes. After
training, we will introduce you to each other. From there, you manage your
relationship and expectations. We’ll just check in with you along the way.
Evaluations
– Maintaining the Relationship
We’ll
check in with mentees mid-way and with mentees and mentors at the end of the
six month program. While the conversation and content of the relationship is
between you, we are only interested on the process, and how the relationship is
going!
