The Business Analyst Networking Group (BANG) is a community of like-minded professionals, focused on advancing the Business Analysis (BA) discipline by creating a culture and community through networking, education, and shared experience.
BANG partners with the
Oregon Project Management Advisory Board (OPMAB) for alignment and collaboration between Project Managers and BAs.
What is business analysis?
Business analysis is a research discipline of identifying business needs and determining solutions to business problems. The core role of a business analyst can be defined having the responsibility for investigating business situations, performing a root-cause analysis, identifying, and evaluating options for improving business systems and operations, defining requirements, and ensuring effective use of information systems in meeting the needs of your organization.

The skills and knowledge associated with BA are applied in a variety of occupational positions. Many BANG attendees are performing BA tasks as an Operations and Policy Analyst, Project Manager, Business Systems Analyst, Information Systems Specialist, Program Manager, and many more. Meeting Information
Participate with your peers every other month to learn about relevant BA topics and techniques in demand by the user community. Each meeting will feature a presenter covering subjects such as requirements gathering, business case development, and technical writing.
