The Business Analyst Networking Group (BANG) is a community of like-minded professionals. We are focused on advancing the business analysis discipline through culture and community. We plan to do this through networking, education, and shared experience.
BANG partners with the Oregon Project Management Advisory Board (OPMAB). Our goal is to foster alignment and collaboration between Project Managers and Business Analysts.
What is business analysis?
Business analysis is a research discipline. It focuses on identifying business needs and determining solutions to business problems. The role of a business analyst (BA) has the responsibility for the following.
- Investigating business situations
- Performing a root-cause analysis
- Identifying, and evaluating options for improving business systems and operations
- Defining requirements
- Ensuring effective use of information systems in meeting the needs of your organization
