Practical examination description
The Electrical Inspector practical examination is a 12-week (approximate) practicum-style course of study and examination process that explains the codes and processes for performing commercial electrical inspections covered by the Oregon Electrical Specialty Code. The practical examination explains the various components of electrical installations that are verified during the inspection process and is taught through interactive training between the instructor and individuals, specific questions and assigned research, and four progress exams.
Individuals who successfully pass the practical examination process will receive approval to take the state electrical inspector certification exam. Exams with a passing score of 75 percent or higher will be issued an Oregon Electrical Inspector (EI) certification.
Fees
$80 Certification application and exam fee.

$625 Practical examination fee.

- Individuals are responsible for purchasing code and reference books
