Oregon Commercial Reach Code adoption

About the Oregon Commercial Reach Code

The Building Codes Division is in the process of adopting the 2024 Oregon Commercial Reach Code, a set of statewide optional construction standards and methods designed to increase energy efficiency. When approved, the standards will provide an additional choice for builders, consumers, contractors, and others to use for above-code energy performance of structures regulated by the Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC).

This Commercial Reach Code is intended to achieve between 5% and 10% improved performance over the 2024 Oregon Energy Efficiency Specialty Code (OEESC), based on the measurement of regulated energy loads. Oregon’s current energy code is based on the most recent and advanced national energy code.
