Overview
The Oregon Inspector Training Program was established to develop a workforce of skilled inspectors who are knowledgeable about the statewide building code. The state-administered program provides practicum courses for entry-level residential building inspectors. View the practicum course descriptions.
Facilities
The program has a training classroom in Salem, Ore. Students can attend classes live in the classroom or online from any location through Adobe Connect, a mobile learning platform. Both on-site and online students attend classes at the same time. Students must have Internet and a computer that meets
technical specifications to access lectures, electrical drawings, plumbing components, and other web-based materials.
Classroom trainers
The program employs instructors who have experience in the building industry and are code experts. Instructors work closely with building officials and inspectors across the state to ensure classes address the needs of a continually changing building industry. Meet the
