Oregon Pain Management Commission

Public Comment: 

To meet the requirements of ORS 413.570 (1)(c) the Oregon Pain Management Commission has developed an annual report to represent concerns of patients in Oregon on issues of pain management to the Governor and the Legislative Assembly. While this year’s report is largely complete, we invite suggestions to improve the content, format and structure of future reports from now until 8 a.m. October 21st, 2024.  The current version of the DRAFT report can be found here: OPMC 2024 Representing Concerns_DRAFT.pdf.

Open recruitment:

The Oregon Pain Management Commission is opening recruitment for two members. OHA is seeking application and recommendations for candidates in the following categories:
 
1. A licensed healthcare professional, with preference for licensure in Osteopathic Manual Manipulation (OMM), Chiropractic care or Massage Therapy; and

2. A person experiencing pain, or a caregiver of a person experiencing pain, and who is not a licensed healthcare provider. This member will be considered an individual with pain-related lived experience in addition to the two members who are currently serving in this capacity.
 
If you are interested in applying, please answer the survey questions, submit your CV or Resume and a letter of recommendation. We request that the letters of recommendation include a description of the applicant’s lived or professional experience with pain or supporting people in pain, and in working to improve pain care in Oregon.
