The Small-Scale Energy Loan Program Advisory Committee (SELPAC) is a nine-member volunteer board that makes recommendations on loan applications for the Small-Scale Energy Loan Program.
The
committee’s current focus is assisting the Oregon Department of Energy with a
review of the existing SELP program to ensure it continues to provide value to
Oregonians.
The loan
program was established by the Oregon Legislature in 1979 and offered its first
loan in 1980. Since that time, SELP has made more than 860 loans in excess of
$600 million.
Past SELP loans have
supported Oregon energy policy by providing fixed-rate, long-term credit for
qualified Oregon energy projects that invest in energy conservation, renewable
energy and alternative fuels.
