"The Safety, Reliability and Security Section is responsible for the following activities
- Gas Pipeline Safety – 49 CFR parts 190 through 199
- Supports the Office of Pipeline Safety with the Interstate Hazardous Liquids pipelines
- Electric Safety – ORS 757.035 and enforcement of the NESC, encompassing all electrical, gas, telecom, and cable operators in the State
- Emergency Preparedness & Security of Investor Owned Utilities
- Service Quality Measures
- Participates and Supports the following committees
- OUNC – Oregon Utility Notification Committee
- OUSC - Oregon Utility Safety Committees
- OJUA – Oregon Joint Users Association
