PERS has created a Membership Kit that will be mailed to all employees who have established Oregon Public Service Retirement Plan (OPSRP) membership (accumulated 600 hours of service and completed their waiting time).
The Membership Kit has basic information about OPSRP membership and retirement benefits, and includes a:
- Letter with current member demographic information (the member is asked to respond to PERS if the information is incorrect; PERS will send updated information to all of the member’s employers),
- Brochure outlining the OPSRP Pension Program and Individual Account Program (IAP),
- Designation of Beneficiary form, and
- Postage-paid return envelope.
A list of Membership Kit recipients for any membership date is in EDX:
1) Logon to EDX and select the “View Year-to-date Wage and Contribution Summary” link in the site navigation area.
2) Choose the year you wish to view. When the summary data appears,
3) Choose “Download as CSV” from the options at the top of the page.
4) Choose the “Open” or “Save” option for the downloaded file. Then,
5) Open the file, highlight the first line, then click on “Data” in the toolbar and select “Auto filter.”
6) In Column “E” (Contribution Start Dates), click on the down arrow and select the membership date you wish to list.
PERS will alert employers at least one month in advance of each mailing to allow employers time to review each mailing list.
