This page contains information about proposed rulemaking by the Oregon State Police. This includes rule changes that are under consideration, but not yet adopted. All agency rulemaking notices are published by the Secretary of State in the Oregon Bulletin.
Public input is very important to the rulemaking process. Oregon State Police welcomes comments on proposed rules. Submit your comments to the listed contact for each proposed rule. Please be sure to include the number or title of the rule on which you are commenting.
Non-Preference Towing
The changes clean up some contradictory language in the rules and clarify the intent of the agency. The rule changes should make it easier for contractors requesting placement to be placed on the non-preference list and to navigate the process.
The agency requests public comment on whether other options should be considered for achieving the rule's substantive goals while reducing the negative economic impact of the rule on business.
