Notice of Cancellation of Impaired Driving Public Event in Roseburg
12/12/2008
An impaired driving public education event scheduled for Saturday, December 13th, in the Roseburg area has been canceled due to anticipated inclement weather.  The 11:00 a.m. event was to be hosted by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), ODOT, Douglas County Traffic Safety Commission and local public safety agencies as a kickoff for the holiday crackdown against impaired driving.

The newly formed MADD Douglas County Community Action Site sends the message emphasizing the importance to not drive while impaired this holiday season.

A multi-agency DUII enforcement crackdown involving OSP, Roseburg Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Winston Police Department, and Sutherlin Police Department is still planned for Friday, December 12th, and Saturday, December 13th.  The Mobile DUII Processing Center motor home is in the area to assist participating agencies process arrested DUII drivers.
