Oregon.gov Teamsite Metatagger Instructions
The * stands for fields that are mandatory.
 
*Title: Brief description of the information resource.  You may use the title of your web page if it is descriptive enough.  Maximum field length:  100 characters.
 
*Description: Provide a detailed narrative description of the information resource in general terms.  Maximum field length: 500 characters. 
 
*Keywords: Include all terms relevant to information source, common labels and acronyms, "also known as" phrases, commonly misspelled words, and slang terms.  Maximum field length: 500 characters, separate terms by commas.  Your site or mini-site may set defaults for this field.

*FindOr Subject: Click on Add/Edit.  Enter a term under which you think the page should be categorized.  Select from the listing of acceptable subject categories. Maximum field length: 100 characters.  Your site or mini-site may set defaults for this field.

*Copy to State Library.  Determines whether a copy is sent to the State Library for consideration of inclusion in the Oregon Documents Repository (http://www.oregon.gov/OSL/GRES/REPOS/index.shtml).  Criteria for inclusion are in Oregon Administrative Rules 543-070-0000

*Originatorjurisdiction: Auto-fills to State of Oregon.

*Originatorlevel1:  Click on Add/Edit.  Enter your agency name.  Select from the top level of your agency from the listing.  Your site or mini-site may set defaults for this field.

Originatorlevel2:  Click on Add/Edit.  Enter your division name. Select from the listing.  Your site or mini-site may set defaults for this field.

Originatorlevel3:  Enter the 3rd level of your organization if needed.  Your site or mini-site may set defaults for this field.

Originatorlevel4:  Enter the 4th level of your organization if needed.  Your site or mini-site may set defaults for this field.

Govtype:  Auto-fills to “State.”

Language:  Check the language of the content of the resource.

retentionPeriodtextual:    Use this tag to know when the retention time period is not an exact date.

*retentionPerioddate:   Auto-fills to one year from the current date.  The ending date of retention for public documents.  (YYYY-MM-DD, must use zero for single digit days or months i.e. 2003-03-05).

*Date:  Auto-fills to current date.  Date of creation (YYYY-MM-DD, must use zero for single digit days or months i.e. 2003-03-05).

Date of last modification:  Auto-fills to current date.  Date of significant change to web page. (YYYY-MM-DD, must use zero for single digit days or months i.e. 2003-03-05).
