Examinations
The Board administers the National ASBOG examination two times each year. The National office sets the dates. See schedule attached. This examination is composed of two four-hour sections. The morning section is the Fundamental examination. The afternoon section is the Practice examination. To determine your eligibility, review the qualification section by examination type listed at the end of this page.

In addition, the Board administers the specialty examination for becoming registered as a Certified Engineering Geologist. To determine your eligibility, review the Qualifications section at the end of this page.

Professional Geologists are also eligible to be licensed as a Certified Water Rights Examiner. The examination and registration for this license is handled by the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying. See Related Links.

Many of the forms on this website have been made available as downloadable files in Portable Document Format (PDF).
