Meeting Schedule

Informal public meetings for the draft master plan occurred in February and July 2009.

What Are the Next Steps?

The input  received during the comment period helped staff to determine whether any changes were needed before presenting the draft plan to the State Parks Commission.  A second draft of the master plan was completed based on agency consideration of the comments made on the first draft.  The second draft will be presented to the State Parks Commission on September 17.

Staff will be asking the Commission to concur with the Director to take the second draft plan and any Commission requested revisions through formal state rule amendment and grant county land-use approval of the park facility development proposals.

Written Comment Period
Written comments on the second draft master plan must be received by OPRD by September 15.
