Oregon Main Street Program
La Grande, Oregon's Historic Downtown Reinvigorating Oregon's downtown business districts
Oregon Main Street provides assistance to all communities whether they are just beginning to explore options for their downtown or seeking national recognition as an accredited Main Street(tm) town.

Main Street assists communities in developing comprehensive, incremental revitalization strategies built on a community's unique character and heritage. Services are based on the successful Main Street Approach(tm) developed by the National Trust Main Street Center and include training, technical assistance, and grants.

Currently, there are 63 Oregon communities participating in one of the three levels of the Main Street program: Exploring Downtown, Transforming Downtown, and Performing Main Street.

Notice Regarding Historic Properties Open Houses
Senate Bill 192 that was passed during the 2009 Legislative Session contained revisions to the Special Assessment of Historic Property tax benefit program. One of those revisions in the bill was the elimination of the open house requirement, therefore, we will no longer be posting a monthly open house list.
