Fee Structure
Effective Oct 1, 2009 - SB 355 introduces new fees for Licensees

SB 355 directs the Department of Human Services to establish and maintain a prescription monitoring program for monitoring and reporting prescription drugs dispensed by pharmacies in Oregon that are classified in schedules II through IV. Under the bill, pharmacies are required to report the dispensing of a drug subject to the monitoring program. The information collected will be available to practitioners for the purpose of evaluating the need for or providing medical or pharmaceutical treatment.

Physician, podiatric physician and physician assistant licensees authorized to prescribe or dispense controlled substances in Oregon are now assessed a $25 per year fee to support the electronic prescription monitoring program. This is a mandatory fee for licensees with Active, Emeritus, Locum Tenens, Telemonitoring, Teleradiology, or Telemedicine status.
