ODOT helps Oregon small businesses grow
Supporting Oregon businesses

The Oregon Department of Transportation is helping the state respond to current and future economic challenges with forward-thinking actions — including new programs that support Oregon’s small business community. One of those programs, the new Professional and Technical Services Small Contracting Program, has awarded four contracts and has at least six more in the pipeline: all in less than eight months.

Beginning in 2006, ODOT convened a group of small business owners to review the challenges of getting state contracts. Over several months, the group generated solutions for breaking down the barriers, and the small business community is already seeing positive results.

Much work remains, as the programs grow and ODOT continues working closely with small businesses. But it’s a solid start and a significant achievement in supporting Oregon and Oregonians. Discover more small business opportunities.
