Farm Vehicle Definition

Vehicles that carry or move freight, articles, or people over the highways may qualify for farm registration.
The vehicle must be a motor vehicle.
Buses may qualify for farm registration.
Trailers and motor homes cannot qualify for farm registration.

Registration

About Registration
Motor Carrier Transportation Division (MCTD) grants approval for farm registration. DMV can issue farm plates and stickers only after this approval.

To Apply

Fill out the Farm Certification Application;
Fill out a DMV application:
- For vehicles not titled in Oregon, use an Application for Title and Registration,
- For vehicles titled in Oregon, use an Application for Registration or Replacement Plates/Stickers,
- If you are renewing registration, certify your insurance information on the Application; and
Pay the applicable fees (make check or money order payable to "Oregon DMV").
