PAYMENT NOTICE: Due to the added costs of merchant fees, DMV offices only accept cash or checks and do not accept credit or debit cards; however this office does offer an ATM in the lobby for your convenience.
 
SERVICE NOTICE: The services available at this office are limited (refer to the Services section below for more details and/or the full service page for a listing of locations that offer all available DMV services).
 
PARKING NOTICE: Difficult or no parking for oversize vehicles or vehicle combinations.
 
CLOSURE NOTICE: Due to statewide cost saving measures, all DMV facilities will be closed on the following days: 10/16/09, 11/27/09, 3/19/10, 4/16/10, 6/18/10, 8/20/10, 9/17/10, 11/26/10, 3/18/11, 5/20/11.

Knowledge Test Hours
Your customer number must be called by 4:00 PM in order to take the test. 
 
Note: No one is allowed to accompany a customer into the testing area while a knowledge test is being taken except for interpreters.

  • Travel North on the Columbia River Highway (OR-30).
  • Continue North through St Helens and past the last traffic signal.
  • Look for a sign saying "STATE OFFICES DMV".
  • Turn RIGHT (East) into the State Building parking lot, just before Wyeth St.
  • The DMV office is located in the "Old Hospital" in the back of the State Building.
  • There is limited or no parking available for oversize trucks or vehicle combinations.
Going South
  • Travel South on the Columbia River Highway (OR-30).
  • Between Pittsburg Rd and Liberty Inn Rd, look for a sign saying "STATE OFFICES DMV".
  • Turn LEFT (East) into the State Building parking lot, just after Wyeth St.
  • The DMV office is located in the "Old Hospital" in the back of the State Building.
  • There is limited or no parking available for oversize trucks or vehicle combinations.
