A Class C instruction permit is valid twenty-four months from the date of issuance.

If your instruction permit is expired one year or more you will be required to take the knowledge and vision tests and pay all applicable fees.

Your Oregon driving permit may or may not let you drive in other states. You should check with any other state where you may be traveling. A good source for information about other states' laws is the AAA Digest of Motor Laws. For information on how to get a copy you may contact AAA at (800) 452-1643.
