| General Information |

DMV issues non-driver ID cards to people of all ages who are domiciled in Oregon and do not already have a valid Oregon ID Card or a current valid driver license or instruction permit from Oregon or any other jurisdiction. An ID card is issued for identification purposes only.
Oregon is a Central Issuance state so you will not be issued a card at the time of your application or renewal. Once you meet all of the requirements, you will be issued an interim ID card to use until you receive your permanent ID card in the mail.

|
DMV will issue a replacement identification (ID) card if your current card is lost, stolen, mutilated or destroyed; or if you have a name change or address change. To replace an ID card, you must appear in person at a DMV office, where you will be asked to:

If you are currently out-of-state and your ID card is expired, lost, stolen, or damaged, you will have to apply for a replacement or renewal at a DMV office in Oregon when you return.
