Definitions
Cognitive and functional impairments are required to be reported when they reach the following threshold:
  • Severe and uncontrollable to a degree that precludes (or may preclude) the safe operation of a motor vehicle;
  • The impairment is not correctable by medication, therapy, or surgery; or by driving device or technique.
Functional impairments required to be reported:
  • Vision
  • Peripheral Sensation of Extremities
  • Strength
  • Flexibility
  • Motor Planning and Coordination
Cognitive impairments required to be reported:
  • Attention
  • Judgment and Problem Solving
  • Reaction Time
  • Planning and Sequencing
  • Impulsivity
  • Visio-Spatial
  • Memory
  • Loss of Consciousness or Control
