The Oregon Transportation Commission will meet at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the Council House Room of the Salishan Resort, 7760 Highway 101, in Gleneden Beach.
Items on the commission agenda include:
- An update of the Federal Transportation Authorization legislation;
- A request to approve a list of Transportation Enhancement projects to be funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act;
- A request to approve the allocation of funds outlined in the Jobs and Transportation Act (HB 2001) to local governments for 14 highway projects in eastern Oregon; and
- A request to amend the 2008 – 2011 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to change the scope of the Interstate 5 at North Macadam project.
Meetings of the Oregon Transportation Commission are open to the public. Time will be available at the meeting for commissioners to hear public comments.
In conjunction with the formal meeting of the OTC, commissioners will also take part in a workshop in the same location on Oct. 20.
