The Oregon Transportation Commission will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19, in the Ponderosa Room of the Running Y Ranch in Klamath Falls, located at 5500 Running Y Road.
Items on the commission agenda include:
- A request for approval to submit a joint grant application to the U.S. Department of Transportation for federal stimulus funds under the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grant program;
- A request to allocate funds for the Columbia River Crossing project;
- A request for approval of the 2009 Oregon Traffic Safety Performance Plan; and
- A request to approve an amendment to the 2008 – 2011 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to include 13 Transportation Enhancement projects and place four additional projects on a reserve list.
Meetings of the Oregon Transportation Commission are open to the public. Time will be available at the meeting for commissioners to hear public comments.
Transportation Commissioners will also hold a joint meeting with members of the South Central Oregon Area Commission on Transportation on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 3 p.m. in the same location.
