The Oregon Transportation Commission will meet by telephone at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, in Room 122 of the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol Street N.E., in Salem.

Commissioners will hear staff recommendations on the expenditure of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds. The Oregon Transportation Commission allocated the entire $234 million of ARRA funds, however, because of favorable bids, withdrawn projects and a fund exchange with local governments, approximately $10 million is available for reallocation.

Other items on the commission agenda include:
  • A request to extend the target date for bid opening to the Oregon Park and Recreation Department’s ARRA projects;
  • A request for approval of a Type C Immediate Opportunity Fund request for $290,000 to assist the city of Canby with transportation improvements; and
  • A discussion on bid awards that exceed the engineer’s estimate by more than 10 percent.
Meetings of the Oregon Transportation Commission are open to the public. Time will be available at the meeting for commissioners to hear public comments.
