The Oregon Department of Transportation received more than 70 applications for the $100 million multimodal transportation funding program, Connect Oregon II. The applications were screened for completeness and technical feasibility. They were reviewed by modal advisory committees (air, rail, freight and public transit), regional committees (Area Commissions on Transportation) and a “Final Review Committee” consisting of representatives from both modal and regional committees.
The Oregon Transportation Commission selected 30 projects to receive funding through the $100 million lottery-bond-backed program, including 10 aviation, two marine, 13 rail and five transit projects.
