The Volunteer Trail Patrol program relies on the help of volunteers to maintain a public presence on non-motorized and motorized trails in the Tillamook State Forest. Patrollers equipped with forestry radios tour the trails on foot, horseback, mountain bike and OHVs to:
-
Provide information to users, such as maps and trail recommendations
- Report hazardous trail conditions
- Provide basic first aid and assistance during emergency
- Inform users of forest regulations (non-enforcement)
If you would like to become a Volunteer Trail Patroller, are an experienced trail user and have knowledge of the Tillamook State Forest, then please review the position description and fill out an application.
