Land Exchange Rule
Oak savannah
An administrative rule relating to land acquisitions and exchanges on Board of Forestry lands was adopted September 14, 2001. The adoption of the rule was necessary to fully implement Board of Forestry Policy.

The rule defines the purpose for acquisitions and exchanges, long range planning, and the status, designation and classification of lands which may be considered for acquisitions and exchanges.

The rule also addresses the public hearing process, timber harvest of potential exchange parcels, biological and recreational resource assessments, mineral interests, and the appeal process.

The rule, OAR 629 Division 33, State Forest Land Acquisitions and Exchanges, may be viewed here.
