Annual Reports
With the passage of SB 770 in 2001, ORS 182.162 to 182.168 requires an annual agency activity report of state and tribal government activities during the past year.  This report is due to the Commission on Indian Affairs by December 15 each year.  Below are links to the annual reports that have been submitted by the Oregon Department of Forestry regarding tribal/state relations.

Brochure
The Oregon Department of Forestry has produced a brochure entitled Protecting and Preserving Oregon's Archaeological and Cultural Resources - A Guide for Forest Landowners and Operators.  The brochure outlines landowner responsibilities regarding archaeological sites and obligations when dealing with cultural sites. 
 
An electronic version of this brochure is posted on this web page and copies are available at all local ODF field offices and Salem Headquarters (503-945-7200).

Directive on Tribal Government-to-Government Relations
The Oregon Department of Forestry's Directive on the Department of Forestry and Tribal Government-to-Government Relations outlines the processes the department will use to maximize intergovernmental relations and enhance the exchange of ideas and resources for successful planning and implementation of departmental policies and programs that may affect the tribes.  This directive also includes, as an attachment, a Memorandum of Agreement between the department and the State Historic Preservation Office that defines the roles and responsibilities of each organizations to meet Government-to-Government Relations objectives.
