What is proposed?
The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) has received a sufficient number of requests to conduct a hearing on the proposal to renew the Oregon Confined Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit #01-2009 coverage for 2 CAFOs located in Area III, (Clackamas County). The Oregon CAFO NPDES General Permit #01-2009 regulates the manure, litter, and process wastewater generated by CAFOs to ensure that CAFO activities do not harm water quality.

ODA will hold the hearing at the Agriculture Building located at 635 Capitol Street NE, Salem OR, 97301 in the basement Hearings Room from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 9, 2009.
