Alternative inspection programs
Program information

In an effort to provide our customers with additional shipping point inspection options, the Oregon Department of Agriculture has implemented two alternative inspection programs, Customer Assisted Inspection Program (CAIP) and the Quality Assurance Inspection Program (QAIP).

With these programs, ODA´s Federal/State Inspection Service (FSIS) inspectors train the customers inspection staff to perform inspections using federal and state grade standards, inspection techniques and procedures. Grades and procedures are verified and certified, under an audit-based system, by the FSIS.
